Like a big aluminum wing on the trunk and a coffee can exhaust pipe, some things just look more appropriate for a 10 year old Civic and then stick a handheld GPS in them-that looks even more ridiculous! I mean it's one thing to drive around in 1999 Honda Civic with a suction-cup GPS, but the people that have like 2010 IS250s with a GPS on the windsheld? You gotta wonder WTF they were thinking. the ppl that buy BMWs, Lexus, Audis, etc. One looks nice doesn't have wires going everywhere, and is far less hassles the other (the suction-cup GPS) just makes you look like a ghetto superstar, driving around with some nonsense on top of your dash or stuck to your windshield. On another note, how is it that an 8 month old thread is still active in the Hot Deals? I mean it's not a hot deal to begin with and now it's back from the dead!ĮS_Revenge wrote: ↑While agree that $179 is robbery, you can't really compare a Nuvi suction-cup GPS to an in-dash. Also the higher-end non-nav screen/DVD models even allow connecting and using navigation from an iPhone, on the head unit (which I couldn't care less about myself but I'm sure all the know-nothing hipsters out there will think is uber cool ). The more recent Kenwood units have all the same features/functionality as Nuvis do.
Wow, I so can't wait for Crapple car electronics! LOL.Īnyway, back in the real world, Kenwood has been employing Garmin nav for years in the aftermarket and, some car makers use Kenwood units already (albeit the low end ones). It'll surely be white too, not match anything auto related or look good at all, but somehow will be considered trendy as tacky and dumb looking as it is. Will be totally useless and impossible to use, and cost more than factory options (which are already extremely overpriced).

The day Crapple steps into the mobile electronics world will be a day full of lulz and fail. Apple or Google should step in this space and dominate it.
